Officially licensed 'Aliens' poster design, created for 'Aliens - Artbook' published by Printed In Blood and Titan Books.

Aliens is one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time, and has been hugely influential to the genre so I was honoured to be a part of the officially licensed artbook celebrating this seminal film. Actors likeness approvals were stringent, with Sigourney Weaver having to sign off on her depiction personally - as such extra care was taken to be as authentic and accurate as possible. This attention to detail is carried throughout the poster, with every element intended to be as accurate and rooted in the movie as possible.

Illustrated in Procreate on iPad Pro, with design elements created in Adobe Illustrator. Final assembly in Adobe Photoshop.

I used a digital display font as a basis and then hand edited the characters to appear accurate to their representation in the film.

An earlier iteration of the poster had a design element fashioned after the HUD in the UD-4 Dropship to frame Ripley's face. Ultimately I found it too distracting and chose to omit it from the final version.
